Senior Technician in Einbeck/Germany.

Our Breeding station Einbeck is looking for a Senior Technician (m/f/d) in oilseed rape at KWS SAAT SE & Co KGaA in Einbeck/Germany.


In this position you are responsible for the coordination and realization of all field trials and multiplication for oil seed rape and catch crops on fields of the breeding station Einbeck (incl. external locations), that includes:

Organization und realization of the field work
Generating of field plans with special software
Supervision for yield trials and special trials
Planning and supervision of machine employment and with geo-referenced sowing
Recording of different plant symptoms
Documentation and allocation of the data for analysis
Close cooperation with breeding teams
Instruction und development of the team
Optimization of the work and the processes

To start with us in that role you need to bring this:

University degree (BSc) in agriculture (plant production) or apprenticeship in agriculture with experience in field trials
Extensive knowledge in plant production and agriculture engineering, especially in the area of oilseed rape
Secure handling with MS office
Fluent German and good English language skills
Driver License for car and tractor needed, for trucks is a plus
Strong skills in communication and organization
Independent and reliable operation as well as ability to work in a team
Willingness for extra work and travelling
Knowledge in plant breeding desirable
