Nunhems®, a business of Bayer, is a global specialist in vegetable seeds. With more than 1600 employees and a portfolio of 2500 varieties in 28 vegetable crops, we are presents in all major vegetable areas in the world.

For our site in Sant’Agata Bolognese (BO), we are looking for a:

Sales Specialist North Italy

Job purpose
Introduce new varieties and realize sales according with the crop and the area strategy within a national environment in order to realize long term profitability and partnership with customers.

Major Accountabilities

Sales

Plan, review, adapt and execute the annual sales plan in line with M&S policy and strategy within the area in order to match the plan with the production plan and stock.
Introduce company and product to (potential) customers in the specified area, in line with M&S strategy and within Nunhems in order to inform and acquire customers. When primary contact for those customers, lead and manage the customer team and the Key Customer Management (KCM) process with the customer either within the crop team or in multicrop teams if it is a multicrop customer.
Formulate and negotiate with customers about annual and/or more annual contracts, within a limited margin on price and sales terms in order to realize the sales targets and partnership.
Active involvement in the trial program and the introduction of new varieties in collaboration with the Breeder and Product Specialist.

Marketing

Provide market, price, and product information in line with M&S policy and strategy within the crop and area in order to contribute to the formulating of the marketing and sales plan in the crop team.
Report periodically conform procedures and guidelines in line with M&S policy and strategy within Nunhems in order to keep the management informed about proceedings in sales and the consequences for the other departments (operations).

Cash Management

Take care of the money collection in line with the financial policy and the payment terms within Nunhems in order to ensure sufficient cash flow.

Key Success Factors

Turnover / Gross margin;
Market share;
Reliability sales;
Days / amount outstanding.

Skills, Experience & Qualifications

Bachelor or Master degree in Agriculture or equal by experience in this sector
Affinity with and/or knowledge of the agricultural sector;
Commercial skills;
English language: fluent;
Competencies: networking, entrepreneurship, influencing

Working relations
Crop Sales Managers
Product Specialist
Downstream Specialist
Account Manager;
Customer Service;
Credit Manager;
