QUALITY ASSURANCE MANAGER (M/F)
based at our headquarters facilities in Casaleone (VR), Italy.
JOB DESCRIPTION
The Quality Assurance Manager reports to General Manager in the overall goal of plan, monitor, implement the operational quality process to ensure the long-term profitability and the achievement of pre-established objectives.
Yoùll be the reference for compliance with National, European and International regulations ensuring the documentation, control and efficiency of the quality system.
Your main responsibilities will ensure the quality criteria concerned products as well services complies following customer's requirements.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage and ensure oversight of whole quality process to align all efforts with the overarching policies, goals and objectives of the company;
ensure that all products meet the quality standards towards customer expectations. This spans various dimensions, including physical, physiological, genetic (molecular and PGO), sanitary characteristics and traceability;
establish a robust framework for Quality Assurance, Quality Control, and Quality Management by creating necessary infrastructure, allocating resources effectively, and aligning people and processes.
maintain an active and collaborative interface with various functions within the organization as well across interconnected departments (Production/Research/Logistic/Commercial). Implement Quality procedures in reworks activities in Warehouse (i.e. repackaging, revalidation, bulking or any other rework on need basis);
manage non-conformities and corrective actions of the product/production process (internal non-conformity, complaints);
monitor, measure, review, and report on the efficacy of Quality Control Procedures in attaining quality objectives;
manage implementation of in-process product and process inspection standards and maintain documented information as required by different certification/regulatory bodies and international procedure;
manage varieties registration process as well take care of aspects related the intellectual property;
share plan of sampling for market stock at batch level sharing reports with quality remarks to stake holders as well actively partecipate in supplying's forecast;
execute the Quality budget through collecting, analyzing, and summarizing info & trends and recommending improvement plans;
manage database for new lot creation updating seed storage;
identify, develop, pilot and implement new technologies (pre-post harvest)and innovative methods concerning Seed Technology;
participate actively to discovery projects, novel partnership as well international conference.
YOUR PROFILE: QUALIFICATIONS REQUIREMENTS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills and/or necessary abilities.
B.Sc. / M.Sc. Degree in Horticulture, Agronomy, Plant Sciences, Biotechnology or closing related area is required (Ph.D. as well proven experience in seed industry will be preferred);
knowledge of seed quality control processes and quality management systems;
understanding of seed act and labelling seeds rule;
well-versed in seed industry intricacies, capable of optimizing seed treatment, ensuring inventory quality, and navigating international trade regulations while fostering collaborations with external labs and governmental institutions;
experience with implementation of corrective and preventive action programs;
strong project management skills with the ability to work independently and within a team;
ability to adjust work schedule based on business requirements;
proficiency in supervision, training, and performance evaluation methodologies;
interested in a dynamic work environment where daily activity changes. Able to handle multiple projects simultaneously. Adapt to unexpected delays and changes in workflows to maintain overall productivity;
exhibit sound and accurate judgment. Accept personal responsibility for task fulfillment and job performance;
excellent verbal and written communication skills;
working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint;
experience with database applications helpful;
willingness to travel domestically and internationally;
driving licence class B valid in Italy is required.
